Title: other than soundboard
Post by: dmb on November 06, 2003, 11:26:04 PM
Are there any other outputs besides the soundboard that I could plug into for a patch not using mics? (I am in with the band)

not knowing how your engineer mixes limits us, but you can sub-group certain channels togethor in a seperate mix(usually matrix out or aux sends).
of course, if you want everything the board is sending to the PA, you can use main out or tape out.

I agree with the rest in pulling a aud source.the only time I pull a sbd out is if Im mixing with mics...straight sbd is very harsh and strerile sounding

With a band I tape all the time I can get a feed from the monitor mix, but that's only because I know the guy that runs the monitors.  His mix rocks, though, because he mixes it for himself (he records every show). :)
