Talk to Sennheiser USA (if you are in the US), you may be able to get them as spares.

The capsule is part number 014992, but you may not get all the information you need to mount it (it may need external components).

As an alternative, Sennhesier do several OEM capsules and you may want to look at the KE 10-420 cardioid.  In fact the OEM version looks like it has a slightly better frequency response than the MKE 40 - or it may actually be the same capsule and the differences noted are caused by the housing.

I hope this helps.

sennheiser usa is the BEST repair center i have ever delt with. used to be Uver (sp) then dwight and now there is a new guy altho dwight is still around (so is uver) helping out. call them and ask for dwight in repair. if he is not around they will refer you to his assistant, or ask to talk to him first.

there is also this site in australia

however when i checked it today, the sennheiser linx were f'ed up. i dropped them a note. they have an AMAZING amount of stuff listed...
