Title: Make my recording sound good
Post by: icedorf on November 08, 2003, 02:18:10 PM
I recorded my bands show last night on an mp3 player. It sounds like the guitar peaks out, also there is alot of static. can someone tell me how to salvage my recording or give me some tips?

with some sound editing software like soundforge or cool edit you should be able to make some changes.

sounds like there is some distortion of the mic, and/or brickwalling on the mp3 recorder.  what bitrate did you record at?

I'm sure there's a few of us studio cats here who'd be willing to help you at our regular hourly mastering rate. ;)

But seriously, what mp3 player?  Did you patch out of mics, or the board, or?  You didn't give a whole lot of info...  we may not be able to help you fix what's there, but most definately we all could give advice on how to prevent it in the future...
