I came across this comparison (128 kbps mp3 at the moment but the member http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/usersViewSingle.php?id=34216 will share the source recordings)...

This is a pile-driver in the city of Rotterdam Recorded @ 24/88.2 using two DPA 4060 in A-B and a Sound Devices 722. This event is also recorded in parallel with a Zoom-H2 @24/96 using the rear microphones in X/Y 120.

Searching there brings up a few more Zoom H2 recordings, eg http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=41244 - 24/96, 200Mb!
