Hey yall.
I have been reading the dither threads and have learned a ton from them. Thank you all for taking time to do the comps and post the results. Question is this.
What is the "general opinion" of the r8brain dither?
I really like the program for the simplicity and the batching option but have noticed the cymbals becoming a bit "grainy" after a dither.
Any "superior" dithering programs that allow batch processing?
Thanks.

I'm not sure if it is "superior", but Cool Edit Pro 2 allows batch processing.

AFAIK, many of the commonly used audio editors have batch capabilities. I know Audition/CEP, Samplitude SE, and WaveLab do. Dunno about SoundForge or a couple of the others. I think Audacity does not.
Pick your preferred editor / dither algo, and give it a go.

Question: do they all dither and resample equally well?

Question: do they all dither and resample equally well?
No. Whether it's noticeable or not depends on a lot of factors. Follow the links for the dither comp to listen to the differences between many of the common dither algos. Can't help on comp of resampling.
