Title: Reducing background chatter? Soundforge 8.0
Post by: paulbaptiste on October 12, 2007, 12:09:42 AM
Recorded Paolo Nutini last night, standing show, lots of talking throughout but does not drown out the music.  Is there anyway to reduce the chatter, background noise.  Is it just a manner of messing around with the EQ?  I've tried the presets but can't tell that much of a difference.  Any Help appreciated.

nope.  simple answer is chatter = same frequency as the music.

EQ can't help you here.  I'd say don't mess with it, it's definitely not worth your time trying to fix with SF8 (or any DAW for that matter).

Unfortunately, you need to deal with this problem in pre, not post.
