Hey Nick,

I was wondering if you could help me out with a coupla' questions that the massive 200 page manual couldn't. ;D

- A=top capsule=right, B=bottom capsule=left?
- I thought you just got one, but thoughts about the mic and how to fit it in a case>Sonicase?
- windscreen ideas, my second 422 ws I hung on to is an inch too short.

...I see the need for the mammoth shockmount 'cause this sucker is heavy and putting it in a generic shock seems kinda rinky-dink. Thank ya' in advance.

any chance the caps are internally shock mounted?

yes, A= top / right

I use a generic shock mount for it that fits very snugly and holds it tight, but I prefer the stock one...though its a tad big.
the mic, in its wooden case, fits right in the sonicase nicely.  almost too wide, but it still zips up.
Windscreen....I haven't thought about that yet.  I was thinking about using an LSD screen ..., but maybe not.

I was thinking about using an LSD screen ...

I did the same thing for a couple of years in the mid to late 90's

sounds nice nick. I left ya a comment on the PF LMA page :) Screw the LSD2, this thing SMOKES it IMO. Its warmer and more natural to my ears anyway. What do ya'll think compared to the LSD2 ???

I've pulled some heat since I picked up my LSD2. Keep in mind the P stereo is 2.5 times the price.

I'll be able to share in the near future. I'm stuck on a old laptop with a 10g HD, windows millennium & no burner. Until my fujitsu or viao is fixed. (sucks)  :-\

Does sound nice Nick. T's around.

2.5 x the price of the LSD for 10x the performance.

never heard the peluso stereo mic, but 10x the performance of the lsd2? really?

well ..., no.
but it is certainly worth the extra money.

I've run the LSD2 a lot, and I feel the sound of the Peluso is in another class all together.
sort of like a ccm6/mk4 compared to an AT 4050 or something.
not that the AT is bad, or incapable of pulling kick ass recordings...but it ain't no schoeps.

The real question is:

I hope to find out.   >:D  Wish we lived closer Nick for comp purposes.   :-\   Busman and I have semi talked about putting Peluso caps into my lsd2 as well.   :hmmm:

i was just about to ask if busman changed out the capsules in the lsd2.  put some peluso's in there and that would be a damn good comparison.

the assembly and board layout of the P stereo is just as spacious as the LSD, so there is modification potential there as well.
