Title: Need help about R-09 recording ...
Post by: ead666 on October 22, 2007, 01:00:41 AM
I taped my 1st gig yesterday evening with R09 and STC-11.
Sounds good, but i notice a difference in the sound of my recording ; check at the beginning, and then at 10 seconds; sound changes, but i really don't know from what it comes. I taped it with my R09 and my stc-11 mics plugged into a bbox plugged into Line In. "Hold" was "on".
So what could it be ? Can a position change on one of the buttons on the back of the R09 produce this change ? or can it be the mic or the bbox not well plugged ?

Thanx your help

My guess is your cable was not firmly seated into the R-09's line-in.

I agree. I've had the same thing happen, but not with an R-09.

At least you had a nice clean signal, despite the lack of the stereo field.  I've had it with intermittent noise throughout, due to the plug wiggling in the line-in jack.

Same thing happens to me. It's a drag. I've found a simple way to prevent that to happen.Fix the wire against the body of the R-09 with a small piece of adhesive tape. Doing that you'll reduce the plug rotation motion inside the input;)
