just picked up a 955. put a 24/96 dvd-a disc made this way: flac files > dvd audiofile > xp pro burn software to write iso > lacie dvd burner > maxell dvdr. the unit sounds good, and plays ok until... random digi static/blank spot occurs.
anyone have a similar experience? i realize that some players like certain discs over others (?) or maybe the burning process? windows? have a gig of memory on the computer used and a generally defragmented hd...

I have the same unit and it has played everything that I've thrown at it.

how do you make your discs?
it's playing fine now... a disc made in the same way as described above. played my one sacd disc fine too (dark side of the moon, of course). i'm guessing that it may have been a glitch in the production process.
fwiw, this thing sounds really good.

I've never played any home burned DVD-a discs in it, but all store bought titles, including dual discs have worked fine. Your issue does sound like it was somethign that happened in the burn.

yeah, that's what i've been coming to. thing is the same discs did play fine in a c-rappy toshiba dvd player i garbage-picked. denon replied with the suggestion that i make the .iso @ 96.6(?) and at "mode 1" (and write using the slowest speed).... anyone know if dvdaudiofile does this? scott?
