Primarily ABC, an old version 2.6.1, but some sites don't like it so I also use Bit Tornado.

I use uTorrent.  It allows encryption both up and down, uses little of the system's resources and is easy to install and use.  Just the ticket for me.  As usual, YMMV    8)

i haven't tried utorrent yet. i've been using azureus for a while now, and have never had any problems (even with comcast!).. the new version is a little bloated though.. may have to give utorrent a shot.

I use azureus.
I was using bittorent but after upgrading my python and other dependencies it just doesn't work right now.
So I installed Azureus and it's working ok. There isn't a version of utorrent for *nix yet

on my seedbox I use bit tornado

and in the rare times I actually torrent from home, I use utorrent

with the seedbox I don't have to worry about comcast or any other isp throttling my speeds :)

Azureus is one of those programs that people keep using because they usually don't know that there's something better out there.

Azureus is one of the biggest pieces of bloat-ware out.  If you're on a PC use utorrent.  It does just what you need it to, takes up VERY little memory usage, and most importantly doesn't need Java.

I mean how many features in Azureus do you really use or need for that matter?

Totally understand.  I should have prefaced my post with "PC only" as that is what I was referring to.

I shave been running Azureus, but lately utorrent seems to be better at avoiding the Cumblast bt blocking.
