with no xlr ins, phantom power, digi in, and noisy pres toboot this looks utterly useless to me.  The only thing it has going for it is 24 bit capability.

Which is of no use if the analog stages are noisy - but do we know that?

Not totally true. 

2 keys:

1)  Has the same butter-sounding ADC as the 660.
2)  1/8 connection is better constructed than the R09's.

If it hits on these two issues, I would be very interested in the 620.
