Title: Can't encode in flac?
Post by: johnw on November 24, 2007, 03:22:48 PM
Can't encode 24/96 with 1.71. First time trying 24/96, has worked fine with 24/48.
Message reads warning: found non-standard 'fmt' subchunk which has length = 40, unsupported compression type 65534.

Any idea?

Just did a google search and found this error on another board. The solution was to remove an older flac.exe file in the System32 folder. Now I get "invalid sample rate (96000) for --replay-gain". And this was solved by unchecking replay gain.

The 1.7.1 is the front end version.  Try using the current FLAC, 1.2.1.
