Title: Laptop Audio Cards
Post by: Mr.Fantasy on November 29, 2007, 11:36:51 AM
I saw this card for sale on the Yard Sale... HERE (http://tinyurl.com/39sv7n)

I have been thinking about getting something like this....

I recently bought a new Dell Vostro and it has an express card slot that never gets used....

So I found this thing... HERE (http://tinyurl.com/3bn45n) This thing says it has 24/96 DAC and that is has optical in and out....can anyone confirm this?

Does anyone have any experience with anything like this?

PCMCIA cards and Express cards are NOT interchangable. If your laptop has an Express card slot, you will have to get an Express card.

I don't have express slots so can't comment on that SoundBlaster card.

Yeah I realize you could use one in the other without some crazy converter...

I was just wondering if this would be real optical...real 24/96....I guess I will have to buy one and check it out if no one else has seen these...
