Title: preparations for recording concert
Post by: goldenbreast on December 02, 2007, 11:32:47 AM
got my first attempt to record a gig coming up very soon. i have the church audio cards, 9100 preamp and a sony mz-r55 MD player. i also have the croakie mount to go over the glasses but it looks pretty obvious as i dont have long enough hair to cover them up properly. im thinking of taking the croakies off and perhaps using some tape to attach the mics to my glasses.

otherwise, can anyone give me some advice on where you put things when recording? - im thinking that i will slot the cables from the mics/headphones through my t-shirt and have the md player in my trouser pocket and the pre in the other. could be a bit tricky if i want to keep checking the progress of the recording and also that the gain.

while the artist i'll be taping doesnt appear to allow taping, its in a really small venue so there will probably not be any security or anything of that nature.
