I have not seen or used anything for DVD rips using OSX. I have a few pretty nice programs for Windows. If done quite a bit of test with various rippers for windows and have found that just about all of the "All in one"Ripper/encoders are crap. I recently got DVDX but have yet to use it. I don't have a DVD burner yet but will soon hopefully. But DVDx seems to be able to do it. I've mostly made VCD backups of "My" DVD's are for windows I like DVD Decrypter, works great. Then I use XDVD to encode the .mpg file. Had decent success but quite afew hassles. Leaving me to wait until I have a DVD burner to get back into it. Sorry that it's not much help for OSX once I get a mac for home I'll be more apt to get it working. Good luck and I'd be really interested in your findings for OSX.
