FYI: The AT U873R is the full bodied version of the AT853. The U851R is a boundary mic that uses the AT853 capsules too...
I will be running Mics-> Oade Song Catcher PMD660
I appreciate any suggestions, thoughts or help! Thanks!

Does anyone know what a good configuration is for Sub-cards? People tend to use DINA for hypers, but what about subs?

good idea for a poll! T

A common subcard config is NOS. I really like that with my Peluso subcards, and on the many Schoeps MK-21 tapes I've heard as well. You can split them too, if you want.

Great, thanks!
So assume the option for subcards above in the poll is NOS

How far back is the balcony from the stage?
How high is the balcony relative to the stacks?
Are there repeater stacks for balcony sound?
Is the balcony the only one, or is it a mezzanine-type or lower balcony situation where there's an overhang above you?
Any option to extend your mics out and/or down from the lip of the balcony?
Do you anticipate a chatty crowd, either in the balcony, or below?
And most importantly, how does it sound front row center balcony?

NOS subcards is sweeter than butter. If you have the caps, and are somewhat close to the stage, then I'd say go for it.

Great questions, let me try and answer them the best I can. I have never been to this venue, however I have been told about by several local tapers:
How far back is the balcony from the stage? look like about 20 rows back on the seating chart
How high is the balcony relative to the stacks? I was told the stacks are quite high and the balcony is right in line
Are there repeater stacks for balcony sound? don't think so
Is the balcony the only one, or is it a mezzanine-type or lower balcony situation where there's an overhang above you? It is the only balcony
Any option to extend your mics out and/or down from the lip of the balcony? There is a lighting rig that I can mount to that is out from the balcony
Do you anticipate a chatty crowd, either in the balcony, or below? I expect the crowd to be a bit rowdy being a college town, but DSO plays loud and clear
And most importantly, how does it sound front row center balcony? apparently darn good
Thanks!

Definitely no repeater stacks up in the balcony although they do have some small repeaters for the seats under the balcony. It's usually up to the soundman on whether they are used or not.
The stacks are directly in line with the front row of the balcony and I think it's probably the best place to tape from in the place.
Usually the crowds aren't chatty at all there but YMMV. I think if you clamp to the lighting rig you won't have to worry about crowd noise at all.

Thanks for the help everyone. This should be up on archive.org later today...
