is there any way to tell if a show is mp3 source? i'm seeding some old shows and want to make sure one of them is not mp3 sourced. any suggestions on how to make sure it's not source from mp3?

I use the Spectral Analysis in EAC.

same functions on traders little helper, and a bit easier to use. you just check the box "test for mp3"

In my opinion, the only way to test for mp3 is with your eyes. I have not found aucdtect all that precise in its analysis. Will it give you an idea about it? Perhaps, but I trust my eyes looking at the spectral view and frequency analysis much more.

I would recommend posting over in the lossy/lossless board at Trader's Den. Lots of people there who can help you.

I would also consider hyrdogenaudio.org. There is some Russian freeware which will analyze a CD of WAV files and tell you if they were from MP3's.
