Title: Coresound's mic2496 ?
Post by: Xpanding Man on November 21, 2003, 12:31:38 PM
hey gang,

thinking about ditching the AD1000 for something a bit smaller...my back can not handle apogee products anymore.

how does this mic2496 stack up to the other ad/pres out there ?   the price would seem to indicate that it's crappy , but would like to hear if anyone's heard recordings with this thing.

thanks,
john

IF IT'S WORTH PLAYING, IT'S WORTH PLAYING LOUD !!!!

I'm also interested in this - how does it compare with a PS-2/AD-20 combo?

It certainly looks better physically, being smaller, and better looking controls.  Hmm the question almost answers itself, but the important bit is the sound, so...?

Bump!  I was just wondering if anyone has checked out this unit.  It looks like a hopped up AD-20.  It has loads of features for the money and looks kind of cool.  The website says you can try it for free for 30 days.  Who is going to try this thing out?

if it's anything other than a stealth microphone, and coresound makes it, it is CRAP based on lots and lots of personal and anecdotal experience.
