I'm not sure why older purchases don't qualify.

Thanks for this notice!!

I just got a Demo MR-1 and pulled a nice SB of YMSB last night. However, the battery life was an issue.  I went to RS this morning to see if I could put something together temp. for tonights show.  Here is what I found... Parts total $5.00. Time to assemble about 30 minutes.

I'm still going to get the Korg unit but if you don't want to wait 6 - 8 weeks might want to check this out.

External battery pack may more than double record time.

I bought edtyre's MR-1. He said the internal battery would power power the machine for just under 2 hours now. I tested record time with a fully charged internal + the external pack (with 4 2900 NiMhs installed) and I got around 6 hours record time (at 24/44.1)! Way more than I expected. No need to even think of having a new internal installed for my purposes.
