Anyone ever heard of these?
I have a master recording I patched with my pmd430 at a Dead show in tempe 12-09-90 out of a guy, and my label says Nak 300's and beyer 600's.
I googled beyer 600 and got a music stand with a round bottom.
Not sure if beyer 600's was a older discontinued mic or if the guy was just telling me what kind of stand he had his Nak's mounted on. ;D
To be honest I was so high at those shows, I have no idea if he had 2 or 4 mics :P ;D ;D ;D
I am transferring this to Digital and saw what I had labeled on there.

very likely it was a beyer m69 as those were used quite a bit in the ole dead taping days and just a mislabel by whoever wrote the source. Or, a beyer 160 as those were used as well. The 160 was a ribbon (and a mighty fine sounding ribbon at that) and the m69 is a hypercardiod dynamic. I own one of these and lusting for more. Sound great in live sound apps.

well its my handwriting :P , mislabeled, hmm, here is a snapshot of my cassette label:
edit: maybe either of them. the quality is really really clear and clean. I have no way really to tell. :P

maybe you wrote it down wrong? Since the source looks to be a 3 mic mix, it is also possible it was a beyer 101, which is an omni, and would/could be used as a mid if the naks were cp1 caps. Or beyer 201's with a nak cp2 as the mid.
I'm kinda a beyer aficianado and don't remember there ever being a 600 (though I could be wrong). My recollection of beyer mics was cross referenced with this info, http://www.microphone-data.com/results.asp (http://www.microphone-data.com/results.asp) You have to log in to this site but has plenty of good info on mics and models.

they were failry common in the '80's/'90's.
there is a nice sounding board of this show, fwiw.

thanks for all the input. If I recall the taper was from the bay area. I got some cal expo/shoreline shows from him the following summer, but I have nothing else to go by.
