You might want to check with them. It shouldn't take that long.

Got mine a week after putting in for it. Took 2 minutes to install. Another satisfied Grace customer....

Yeah, got mine in PA roughly 2-3 business days after filling out the form online. I installed it in exactly 2.3 minutes.

So what types of recorders need this chip?

So far, MT II and Sony D50 but, I think it was going to be a pattern for all the new recorders coming on the market in the future. No real reason not to do it.

recieved my new chip on saturday.
the first one they sent me, just got bounced back to them.
all is well, and i still love the V3 ;D

I put mine in and have transferred some cassettes since then. I did not really have the 'need' for the upgrade but did it anyway.
