Title: CD Wave File Header Warning
Post by: Kush on February 09, 2008, 09:34:44 PM
I recorded the ABB 2007-08-18 and ran out of room on my JB3 while recording, long story. My JB3 saved the file and then shut down for the evening. I have listened to the recording via headphones on the JB3 and everything sounds fine. I checked the levels using Audacity and they don't need to be amplified. I opened CD Wave v1.94.7b on my PC using XP SP2 to cut the file into seperate tracks and I get the following warning:

Warning
File header reports a size that is different than the system reports. Do you want to adjust the size? (Yes to override header, No to trust header, Cancel to Abort)

How do I fix this?

it will open picking yes or no.  simple way to make it not happen is to open with audacity and then save it overwriting the original file.  it will get rid of the header problem.  but you don't have to do it.  I find it faster to do that than to hit yes or no (cd wave seems to take longer to open it b/c of the header).
