Where are you?  They could be mailed once I am there if you can't locate any.  Retail stores won't carry the inventory so need to get them online.

Wow, that's a great offer from you, very kind.
I've already found a few offers online where I'll order them myself.

Nevertheless, thank you again for your help!

excellent.  easier for me but always willing to help other tapers.

What a great attitude!
Fantastic!!!

I also only use them once and have been doing that for the past 10 years or so ever since they became relatively inexpensive.  Easy raw backup and I've not had any SDHC failures since doing that.  I did have some failures prior to doing that, which I associated with times I deleted unwanted files off the card to make room.  After implementing a policy of never deleting files off a card unless I was going to immediately reformat it after transferring all files off of it, those failures went away.

I admit to not actually using the Full Format option on the recorder myself. The Sandisk Ultra 32GB cards I've order off A-zon have been 100% reliable for me in single-use mode (or reformatting after file transfer) so I usually just do on a quick format on a new card in the interest of saving time and battery in prep for a show. Not best practice, but practical and efficient.

Back when I was reusing the cards I'd typically format it on a Windows 7 computer, then insert into the recorder upon which it prompts to write the necessary system file.  Way back when I'd also insert the card into my DR-680, R-44, and camera, letting each write whatever system files they required.  That allowed me to use the card in any of those devices and allowed for moving the card between devices without first having to transfer files off of it and reformat, which was very helpful in flexibly managing SDHC card space and card redundancy at a show or fest.  Can't remember which, but one of those devices could only initialize the card along with doing a quick reformat, so it had to go into that one first.

I agree with the full format.  Only time I had a 16gb fail on me was a quick formatted card.  In regards to 32gb cards I have had multiple failures so I do not use them any more.  I also use them once so if I need to reuse once they are no longer available I have a hundred cards.  I also still have a dozen from the last order I made.  Half in US and half in Europe.

OH, now I see what ozpeter was saying about the insta360 mic pro; thanks for pointing that out!

I hadn't closely followed the zoom product to know that difference. Sadly they don't make it obvious stereo recording is only in mono.

And with all that said, it'll be interesting to see what ozpeter discovers with the ista360 product.

Unfortunately that device only records 32 bit mono. If you want stereo it records in 24

I've not found DR2d to be picky about SDHC cards.  I mostly used Sandisk Ultra 16 or 32GB for the past 15 years, but used Transend early on, and have used many others in a pinch without problems.

The Quick Format option is fine if you already know the card is good and that it works fine in the DR2d.  The Full Format option takes a lot longer but also checks the card for errors, making it a good option for use with a new card prior to recording with it for the first time.

This is the problem that I'm highlighting - it's being promoted as a wireless mic system, but it also seems to be the only 32 bit float stereo recording device of this size with built in mics.  The Instamic, I believe, doesn't do stereo in 32 bit float although its size is similar (and it costs double).

If you're speaking of the zoom recorder, it does do 32 bit recording but it doesn't have wireless recording. It has bluetooth functionality to control the device and it's yet another device with built in batteries.

https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/instamic/instamic-pro-plus-c/instamic/

Instamic is an ultra-compact recorder that captures flawless 32‑bit float audio anywhere, even in the harshest conditions.

Another video review:
https://youtu.be/8H-OHAzS5xY

The device looks neat, but it's just another audio recorder with built in batteries on 2.4 GHz. I've lost count of companies that make these kinds of recorders. Seems like it was Rode who first started it, but I could be way off....

This is the problem that I'm highlighting - it's being promoted as a wireless mic system, but it also seems to be the only 32 bit float stereo recording device of this size with built in mics.  The Instamic, I believe, doesn't do stereo in 32 bit float although its size is similar (and it costs double).  And no other wireless mic does, simply because they don't have multiple capsules.  But the reviewers, apart from one, are just passing over this.  Like the review you mentioned.  And I've watched a couple of dozen.  Well, mine is on order now and I will then discover, and report, whether it is amazing or dreadful.  Or somewhere in between.

[Edited to add that as the 'lid' of the device is a customisable e-ink display, it might be possible to put the logo of some pill company onto it, so when it is checked at venues, it looks more like a little pill box than a recorder.  Well, at a quick glance...]
