SP CMC4 with SONY PCM D50
« on: May 26, 2008, 03:26:28 PM »
Hello,

I have SP CMC4 + a battery box and used them with a DAT TCD D8.

Now, I am looking for a Sony PCM-D50.  :o :o
I would love used SP CMC4 + a battery box with a Sony PCM-D50.

SP CMC4 terminated into stereo gold plated miniplug 3,5 mm (1/8"), Is it possible?

Could I adjust Rec level during recording with a Sony PCM-D50?

Sony PCM-D50 is as good as Sony DAT for outdoor recording?

Yours sincerely
Robert

Soundpro cmc4? "Junkyardt" (member here) runs sp-cmc-4u> d50. You may want to PM him and ask your questions. Although I can tell you he runs them with phantom power not plug-in power.

I love the D50. A great step up from your DAT.  I have run mics > bb > D50 with no issues.
Busman Audio BSC1-K1/K2/K3/K4 > HiHo Silver XLR's > Deck TBD

CA-14 (c,o)/MM-HLSC-1 (4.7k mod)/AT853(4.7k mod)(c,o,h,sc)/CAFS (o)/CA-1 (o) > CA-9100 (V. 4.1)/CA-9200/CA-UBB > Sony PCM-D50/Sony PCM-M10

Thanks, but could I adjust Rec level during recording with a Sony PCM-D50?

Thanks in advance.

Absolutely. You can change levels on the fly with one wheel on the D-50, not unlike the old Sony DAT portables.

May I ask another question?

Will a new PCM D50 (in each original box) include operating instuctions in FRENCH?

Your sincerely
Robert

Mine are all English.

Try searching here for the French instructions, if available:
