Great Japanese news & comparison site
« on: June 24, 2008, 01:10:50 AM »
I've found a very good news feed, keeping track of new handheld recorders that are launched:
http://209.85.171.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://news.kakaku.com/prdnews/cd%3Dkaden/ctcd%3D2077/

The comparison page is also sweet, with sorting, price graphs, popularity and number of retailers:
http://209.85.171.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://kakaku.com/itemlist/I2077000000N101/P201/

Of course, they also list low-end MP3 recorders, but it's pretty easy to figure out which gear is professional from the price tag.

Worth coming back to...
Mics: A-51s LE, CK 930, Line Audo CM3, AT853Rx (hc,c,sc),  ECM 121, ECM 909A
Pres: Tinybox, CA-9100, UA5 wmod
Recorders: M10, H116 (CF mod), H340, NJB3
Gearbag: High Sierra Corkscrew
MD transfers: MZ-RH1. Tape transfers: Nak DR-1
Photo rig: Nikon D70, 18-70mm/3.5-4.5, SB-800

T+ backatcha! :-)

The babelfish translator is too weird for me, it can really mess up the entire meaning of a page. Compare these:
"The most it is cheap store top 5" (babelfish)
"Top 5 lowest stores" (Google translate)

So I try posting the proper Google links again instead, otherwise you'll end up with headache!

Any site that doesn't mention the R-44 isn't worth visiting!

More seriously, thanks for the interesting links  :)

:P

It seems to be focused on hand-held recorders...of pocketable proportions.
