OPPO DVD players
« on: July 26, 2008, 10:49:36 AM »
I'm using the 981-HD and I get gaps/bumps between tracks. Not really a gap, more of a pop/click/bump. I use Disc Welder Bronze. Don't have this problem on my Denon 2910 or in my car.  :hmmm:

thanks, ts

are you only having this issue on dvd-a discs that you burn yourself or all discs (dvd, dvd-a, etc), regardless of burned or store bought?

I have the same deck. It's worked perfectly since last Christmas. I'm using imgburn to make the disc.

as Nick said, "home brews", using discwelder bronze. I took it out of my 2 channel, only use it in the HT for movies. It's the 981HD.

oppo owners

how do they handle dvdr (+ or -) video?  how about dual layer dvdr video?  I have a huge collection of burned shows and perfect playback is a must.  I've found all my players in the past to be pretty picky with burnt/downloaded shows.  this isn't a media issues as 99% are burnt on made in japan and most are TY.  some play ok in one player and freeze etc in another.  granted both are cheap players though.
