On sunday I taped Secret Chiefs 3 and I was very pleased on how it turned out, however I did notice a little noise. On Friday I was taping another show and the recorder fell off my lap and hit the ground ( I listened to the show after this happened and noticed nothing out of the ordinary ). Is this noise related to the recorder, mics or was it something that was through the PA that I just didn't notice at the time. I'm running DSM-6S/M into a D50, please help! I have several shows this weekend and I'm just making sure this doesn't happen again.

I can't really tell anything by that short of a sample...

Why not give a longer sample and mp3 compress it so  people could hear it to give an answer....

Unless I missed something, a 60 cycle hum appears on BOTH channels for a few seconds about 2/3 into the longer sample. 

This usually happens when the ground (common) connection is lost (the sleeve section on the mic plug) due to movement of a dirty plug/jack contact. 

To avoid this clean both the mic plug with 91+% pure isopropyl alcohol with moistened cloth/paper towel, and the deck's mic input jack (using a tiny unflavored dental plaque brush available in most department stores.   

Then test with phones that your mic/jack connection is noiseless when intentionally rotated, and suggest securing the mic plug with Velcro to the deck when recording so no movement is likely just in case the plug gets dirty and/or tugged to move the connection again.
