v3 dvd power cable issue
« on: January 07, 2009, 08:16:56 PM »
did anyone here have any problems with the screw on type connector that goes into the v3?  i screw it on tight, and then give it the bag wiggle test and it will make the meters peak out.  not all the time, but once its in the bag at a show, dont need any BS to happen.  i know i should'nt wiggle it, but u have to test your gear.  any suggestions?  ed

The V2 has a real beefy 4 pin connector. Glad you got it working right ed.
Just checked my other V3 and the prong is close together but not touching.
Spread it apart a little as well.

you need to spread the power contact forks apart, slightly.

when you get them spread, insert a small wedge of rubber band between them to create an outward spring pressure that keeps the contacts intact.

This should be in the Grace manual.   First thing I did to my V3.
