Looking to CF mod my iRiver for a gig tonight, does anyone have any idea where I may be able to find the goods to do it? Ill check Radio Shack later, but I always try to avoid them at all costs.....

I had to get mine from China, via an eBay seller.

That will be a tough item to find locally...

I have no idea about a local (US) source for them but dealextreme.com has a number of different IDE>CF adapters available. Cheap too. Here's one. I don't know if this one will be suitable or not but there are others. The search at the top of the page is your friend...

edit: I re-read my reply and thought I sounded like a smart ass  :-\...specifically - the search at the top of the dealextreme page is your friend.

deal extreme is where I bought mine from (bought two while I was at it).

MicroCenter might have them, but I've never looked specifically for these, otherwise I doubt you'd find these locally, but you can try calling some of the smaller (mom and pop type) computer shops asking if they have an  "1.8 IDE > CF adapter".
