iriver corrupt files
« on: August 20, 2009, 03:13:53 PM »
I have one iriver that won't let me me copy stuff off, the files are always corrupt. I've reloaded rockbox a few times and that's not this issue. OS Xs disks utility shows no issues, does it have to be the drive?

I had that same problem with my h320 when I first got it. Replaced the HD with a CF card and no more issues ever since. Now if I could get my damn h1x0 to work properly I would be all set...

Try a de-frag on that drive.

Seth,

I agree with the above post that a CF mod is the way to go. I have purchased the adapter, but have yet to pick up a CF card, but I def wanna do it soon.

I to have encountered the problems youre having. I find that it most often happens when the batt is low(ish). I find that transfers done when the iRiver is charged or charging, that it works. It could also be working everytime by coincidence. Not exactly sure. I believe our boy Tufts (Homo) had encountered simmilar issues. Maybe you should hit him up... :)

Fuck off Salvo. Don't you have a guesty spot to bail on? :)

Ps. My iriver is working just fine. Seth - I've got the serial number so don't try any funny shit! :)
