well guys, while I was not able to fix this problem on my own after many failed attempts, I would like to thank Gordon (Live2496) for being so very kind enough to fix it. All worked out great! Thanks again Gordon! :)

Glad I could help. This one was a bit different. Ultimately what was needed was to import as raw into Samplitude. The header had information about the # of bits and # of channels, but the sampling rate was zero. Likely this is why most software was refusing to play it back.

just a late comment.
I had the exact problem used evrything under the sun except CDWav. dropped it in cd wav it fixed the header and all my files transfered over fine... I noticed someone above mentioned it, but it really works!
