Topic: Samplitude Macro for removing claps?

Is there any way in Samplitude to program a macro or is there some other way to remove a clap in a single operation?

Currently I cut the impulse wave form and drag the resulting objects together with cross-fade.  But this ultimately results in many objects that have to be grouped and after awhile it becomes a hassle.  I can't figure out how to do this except manually.

Any help is appreciated.

Try Waves Noise Reduction > Click and Crackle Removal > "Good for small sections" preset.

It is a good starting point for small sections of very loud, localised clapping.  But don't use it on sections of general applause. 

If the applause has caused the recording to clip, then you may hear a "rippling" effect.  Similarly, if AGC has been switched on during the recording.

I'm not finding click and crackle removal under noise reduction.  Are you using the full version of samplitude?  I have the limited version so I might not have all of the filters.

Waves Noise Reduction isn't available in just the stock version of Sound Forge, it's a separate set of Waves plug-ins (the most popular seem to be Waves Mercury bundle, Waves Diamond bundle, and Waves Noise Reduction).
