Neumann TLM 102...anyone use them yet?

Newish compact LD from Neumann

http://www.neumann.com/?lang=en&id=current_microphones&cid=tlm102_description

Solves some of the problem with running LDs (size and weight primarily, at least for me) and is pretty affordable for a Neumann product. Has a rise in the 6kHz and above range which could be useful for recording from a distance. Cardioid only, built in shockmounting in the capsule assembly and a pop filter in the screen (more for broadcast/vocal applications, I guess).

I'm intrigued.....

...and they're (relatively) cheap and sound very similar to a tlm103.

I've never used 'em in the field but have used them for vocals, guitar, and drum overheads in the studio.

Vid.
They sound smooth. I dig the vid because shows the tlm's by themselves as a pair
and then adding/subtracting in some senns for for the snare and bass drum.

The TLM has been around for about two years - it came out in late 2009.

A good quality, affordable mic. and quite different from the TLM 102.

I have heard the 102 is quite different from the 103 and quite a few people prefer the 102.

This is true... but I was mainly trying to say that considering the price difference, the performance of the 102 is similar to the 103.  A great price on a Neumann mic that is extremely versatile.
