Realistic 33-1065 mic adapter?
« on: February 04, 2011, 06:21:38 PM »
hi all,

got a realistic 33-1065 a year or so ago and haven't used it because it has L and R jacks, and the gear i use only has single inputs for mics. i wondered if anyone knows of an adapter that take the L and R cables into a stereo mic jack and maintain stereo. radio shack offers this one,

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103422

but it says mono adapter. help, anyone? this isn't my only mic, and i bought it on a whim for next to nothing after hearing a 1988 D3 recording of the church at an outdoor festival in holland that i liked the sound of, so i figured i'd give it a go with the same combo.

thanks for any help,
john

I just ordered one of these: "Live Wire 3.5mm TRS-Dual 3.5mm(F) Mono Patch Cable". You can get them from Guitar Center or Musician's Friend, around 6$US each. Or search for a 3.5mm stereo break-out cable. Good luck.

Or what you want is: Radio Shack 1/8" Dual Mono Jack to 1/8" Stereo Plug Y-Adapter
Model: 274-375   Catalog #: 274-375
