Rechargeables?
I use to use rechargeables back in the DAT days, but eventually even those take a dive and usually when you don't want them to. I used them for a long time and the last time was at a show where even though they were fully charged and showed full when the show started, towards the end of the show the meter showed almost gone and was even blinking when the show ended, so I lucked out, most times before that they had at least half meter left after a show. After that, I only use a pair of new lithiums for each show. Not to say rechargeables won't last a long time, just that I don't want to have to worry when and at what show they will eventually decide to end their life
However, now that I am starting to run a 2nd rig (and have a back-up) I will be running that 2nd rig with rechargeables. I still have piece of mind though with the lithiums in the main rig
If you are running rechargeables, what kind are you running and how are the runtimes?
Well, I use 7.2v 4500mah RC Batteries for my 722 rig. And I use 2300mah AA's for my LB>R09 rig
I have been using NIMH batteries for years. Its a given fact that they are worthless after 2-3 years, but Im still saving ALOT OF DOUGH compared to buying disposable lithiums. Because I record ALOT most years so I could NEVER justify lithiums....
Also, it is KEY that you have a good charger so the charhger cycles for you and can do DEEP discharges to bring back an almost dead battery.
And I use Energizer rechargeables!
