I see that you haven't logged on in a while, but if you're still looking for recordings from the dr-2d's internal mics then you're in luck.
I just got back from Telluride, CO and have a bunch of shows from there recorded directly onto a dr-2d, and I would be happy to send you a few, or just a sample from one so that you can hear the quality. It's not all that great compared to even a budget pair of external mics, but being able to carry around my entire recording setup in the palm of my hand did provide a lot of freedom that I would have forfeited by using a stand and external mics.

Here is a video clip of Dumpstaphunk I shot a couple weeks ago.  I clamped my Dr-2d to my tripod and fed the outputs of the dr-2d to the 1/8 input of my Canon HV20 camcorder.  I shot this way all weekend and was fairly happy with the results.
