Stealth mic questions
« on: March 10, 2012, 05:40:15 AM »
N00b here. About to buy my first stealth mics, and wondering if anybody here could PM me their favorite alternatives to glasses-clipping, cap-clamping and shirt collar-covering. (Particularly: are there any girls here with creative uses for long hair? ...Are there any girls here at all?)

Alternately, I was thinking of getting this gooseneck ear mount: http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/category.cgi?item=ISI-SEHM-1 with the Audio Technica binaurals. Anybody have any input on the quality of those, the likelihood that the rig will slip off my ears or that the mics will pick up funny ear noises, etc.?

(I do seem to be having an issue with PMs that is apparently common for newbies, so if you can't PM me right now, er... keep this open in a tab and try again later?)

I know a young lady who exclusively uses Sound Pro in-ears (to SP Battery Box > M10) and makes some extraordinary recordings.  Ideal for a lady with long hair, as opposed to an old fart with no hair.   :(
