I don't know. I saw 750 pounds mentioned in one article but don't know what the street price will be in US money. The make good sound boards with good preamps. I have a Zed-22fx that I use for most of my projects to mix to stereo on the fly and I like it. I have no doubt they will put as much care into the recorder however I'm beginning to look in other directions. I've seen a PreSonus board that records and has wireless control via iPad, iPhone or a laptop and has wireless monitoring (I think). How good the PreSonus is I don't know but I like that idea. More and more devices now have wireless iPad control but an affordable board with remote control motorized faders seems like a sweet idea. By the time I have the money I'll probably be onto another idea.

How much of an issue is this: "Signal Present and Peak LED metering on each channel"?

Just sufficient to make sure it's working.  I imagine it will have more substantial metering available though the remote interfaces- be that computer or i-thing.

I'm waiting to see how this will compete with the JoeCo recorders. But as I said, I'm now looking into remote controllable boards that also record like the PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 ( http://www.presonus.com/products/StudioLive-24.4.2 ) What I don't know is that PreSonus board is just a bunch of pretty lights with a mediocre functionality or actually a decent machine.

A live concert to me is exciting because of all the electricity that is generated in the crowd and on stage. It's my favorite part of the business, live concerts.

Yeah, analog inputs only but that is still the most universal. That's changing though.
