I'm looking to pick up a cheap camcorder to attach to my mic stand for small venues. How are you all powering your recorders? What is needed to make it through a 2hr set?
The older Canon Vixia that I use runs on 8.4v through the AC adapter. I just whacked the cord and wired it to a tip that fits the Naztech 15000 and set it for 9v output. Gets between 8-10 hours.
I have a newer Canon that runs at 5 something volts. I need to figure out an external power source for that also
i run my canon r300's on a ravpower usb battery
The cable I got from eBay, shipped from china but works perfect. You can use an extension too. I got those from amazon
eBay search canon ca-110 usb
