Posted this over on the Team Busman thread, but thought a wider audience might want to check this new large diaphragm model out.
Recently I received a new set of Busman Audio large diaphragm mics. They are a fixed pattern cardiod. I've been running these for about 6 weeks and have been able to use the at several shows. I've been very pleased with the results so far.
These mics are MUCH smaller than his previous large diaphragm model. I am able to clamp these to balcony railings no problem. When I taped Medeski Martin and Wood acoustic and the Yonder Mountain 4/20 shows I was able to fly them away from the balcony with an extension clamped to the rail with no worries about weight. No way would I do that with his switchable pattern LDs.
More pics and some samples (archive and dropbox links) in the
Team Busman thread.
