Thanks for all the tips. Going to order some of that cleaner and try some of the other ideas, and worst case purchase some new mics and go from there.

I recently had an issue like this (one channel dropout for chunks of time that didn't happen all the time) that turned out to be the right angle connector on the mics. had to send them in for repair.
