Just to throw in a thought a bit late:
i moved from dual sharp MDs (ms-722s) to an M1, no remote, haven't needed it... LOVE it. Perfect thing. Great, wonderful, the whole nine yards.

now have to dig out an md tonight for Keller's set at AP ;)
