Does Anyone use a Sony ECM 907 Mic?
« on: May 26, 2004, 10:17:12 PM »
Just trying to find out what models work with this mic I bought. My MZ N505 line in with a power supply is not picking anything up.

I need to get an MD with a mic-in jack. I was wondering what models this mic would work with.
Thanks!

did you put a battery in the mic?

Did you turn up the gain?

You do not need an MD with mic-in

From a friend:
The power supply would not be able to power the microphone elements since they are effectively on the other side of the circuitry to generate the stereo signal.  I don't know if the power supply would be able to damage the microphone, I don't think it would.  The signal from the microphone would still pass through the power supply, but there would be no benefit to the recordings.

You're preachin' to a brick wall, PK. Try the 907 at a concert, line in. Then you'll see.
