Matrix: Samplitude 7 Pro and f410
« on: June 09, 2004, 03:51:21 PM »
OK, I got the 24/96 f410 thing whipped, so if someone could answer a couple of quick questions for me on what the best way to do a matrix using the f410 I'd appreciate it.

Here is what I'd like to do:

Take a digital stereo in from the V3 (2 channels)
Take an analog in from the board (2 channels)

Can I control this entirely from Samplitude or do I need to tweak M-Audio's 'Virtual Control Panel'?  Samplitude would be a new program for me and I have NO experience using it at all. (yet)  Maybe some tips on how to set my default sound card selections, defeat 2-hour limits, set buffers, etc.

Any help is appreciated.

well, i dont know samplitude THAT well, just for resampling/declipping, but id say you have to do some sort of montage maybe??? kinda like wavelab??

you will need to "multitrack" it essentially, so you will need 4 windows open in your editing/recording program

i KNOW cool edit pro has this feature, and im almost sure samplitude does too

I think that I am just going to skip over Samplitude and use the new version of Wavelab 5.  It uses the identical interface of 4.x, but now does multitrack.

Thanks anyway, Bean.
