Home Recording?
« on: June 14, 2004, 09:57:34 PM »
My girlfriend is a mighty fine little singer and guitar picker and she is looking to get some gear for recording around the house into the computer.

I have a pair of NAK 300's, a Sony TC-D5M analog deck and a D8.

She went out and paid way too much for some crap at guitar center and I'm trying to help her out with some good affordable gear to accomplish this. I am thinking an under 100 dollar large diagraphm mic and a small diaghraphm for the guitar. Any ideas?

For going to the computer I am recommending her snag a UA5 as I loved mine when I had it.

She'll get a copy of my Cool Edit Pro of course.

I've been wanting to check out the M-Audio Nova:

It retails for $100.  I can't say how it will perform for your application, but you really can't beat that price.
