Topic: DAT waveform clipped, what happened here?

Fellow taper lent me some old DAT masters to transfer them to PC
encores from 3 consecutive day concerts
Day1, first waveform, looks fine
Day2, clipped on the top, yes this portion sounds clipped
Day3, shows "fine"
What could have caused this? gear was: OKMII/R>A3>TCD-D100
its a 22 year old tape

The other image is the mainset of the clipped of day 2, yes sounds clipped

My first suspicion is low power at the mic pre amp
