The m-audio audiophile 2496 is going for $95 over at Core Sounds:

I also saw it in a Guitar Center catalog for $99 recently.

I use an Echo Mia (non-MIDI version) and have had no problems thus far.  Although it's essentially the same as the Audiophile, YMMV

i have an echo gina24, but my headphone output stopped working recently.
.. i also killed the headphone output on my dat too. what a situation!

I'm assuming the Audiophile 2496 would also allow me to playback 24/96 on my computer...
