SCI tweeter seating?
« on: November 24, 2004, 11:09:50 PM »
Is there a taper section?

I got a taper ticket in what would be a good set if I weren't taping.

Is there a free for all section or is it tape-from-yer-seat?

Whats the seen like for weaseling into an FOB spot?

I never saw these guys and don't know what kind of crowd to expect.

cheers

I would have replied earlier but left for NJ before you wrote.   I was there both nights.

I was really disappointed with the taping seat positions but I'm glad that the adhoc section behind the board worked out.  It was a very nice scene.  As usual, the camden security gave me no hassles whatsoever.  I probably should have gone up close, but the sound was really good where we were set up so it was a relaxed couple of shows.  I never saw SCI before.  Those were shows were really fun.

hey, glad you had fun, i did too.  did we meet?  +T for being there.  i met a couple of tapers, but didn't catch everyone's names.  I remember Jason and a great dude with a Rolling Rock hat on.  i actually setup a few rows behind the ad hoc section, and taped my stand to the back of the row of chairs.  if you saw someone back there, that was me!  ;D  tapes came out decent, though boomy at times (which as i'm sure you know, is just how it sounded in the back of the venue.  actually it sounded like that too me all around...too bassy).

SCI has changed...i no doubt enjoy their older sound, i'm not too sure about the new techno/trance stuff.  it's all good i guess.  RRE was great, i was digging their sound.

peace

RRE is always great, but then I have been a homer of them since they started, heh. The Midnight Moonlight and I Know You Rider were awesome, the raotating solos were just a treat ...

kieth, yes I saw you set up a few rows back.  I have never been inside the waterfront's pavillion when they have the back closed.  I was happy at how good it sounded.  The night before, there was a heavy curtain hanging down in that row where you were set up.  I don't know what was in that curtain, but it was dead.  There was no slap from the back that I could hear.

I've never seen those guys before but heard a few live CDs.  It was a good couple of shows and the saturday midnight moonlight was a surprise.  I've only heard JGB and a few small bar bands do that song.  I'll go see them again.

Friday night Robert Randolf invited some kids off the floor to come up and play guitar with the band.  That was so cool.  The band did a great job of backing up whatever they played.
