Yes, please tape Marc Broussard!    I know he allows taping, is he or Citizen Cope the headliner on the show?   I know they are doing a big co-headlining tour and switches off in cities the closing duties.

I am gonna be taping his instore and headlining show next week in Portland and possibility Seattle too(although Citizen Cope is the headliner for the Seattle show so I gotta figure out whether or not he/they allows taping normally).

I think I've heard good things about Toby Lightman, but still haven't gotten a chance to check her out.

Cope is totally pro taping. I got an instore from him in VA a few months ago.

Anyway, yeah, run for Broussard as well (another pro taper).  That guy has some talent. I was amazed when I first heard the CD then saw a picture of him and a show. Good stuff!

Heh, our show here is cheap at 10 bucks ;)

Just checked Ticketswest and there are THREE Citizen Cope shows for Seattle?   They must be from Seattle area or something.   The first show is with Marc Broussard and David Ryan Harris and the 2nd two shows(on all ages and one 21+) are after the Vancouver, BC date on are just Citizen Cope headlining.   All 3 are all at Showbox and 15 bucks.

So yeah, I'd go to the one with all 3 bands(David Ryan Harris is the opener instead of Toby Lightman) which is the Tuesday Feb 8 one.   Looks close to selling out if they are already on 1000+ ticket #.

sadly, i had some shtuff come up this afternoon and wasn't able to check back here...

taped toby, not marc.

saw marc's merch tabel early on and noticed he does a disc-live sort of thing for $10...didn't want to tape him without permission after that (at least not with the stand) so i blew it off.

he was aiiight. toby was REAL good. and Cope is the MAN.

go see em if you can.

b/p for whoever wants :-)

Yeah,
Marc sells sbd copies for all his shows but still allows aud taping which is pretty cool.   It usually doesn't include an encore though so they have time to burn them ;)

Not only does it usually not include the encore, but the sound guy does a horrible job attempting to do track spilts on the fly. I realize he's a busy man, but I'd rather just give me a 1 tracker and I'll do the rest. Again, I realize I am in the minority when it comes to that. Maybe they need a second body back there to put in the splits.

Anyway...he's cool with taping so no worries. I am assuiming you rolled for Cope? I'm up for a B&P or trade. PM me if interested.

Marc Broussard allows audio taping at almost every live performance. No soundboard or power feeds are provided. Taping is limited to audio-only, using only microphones. Wireless receivers are strictly prohibited. We sincerely appreciate all of Marc’s fans, so we ask that you please be considerate of those around you by not obstructing anyone else's view of the performance. All recordings must be used for personal use or trading only. Selling or commercializing any recording is illegal and will jeopardize taping privileges for everyone.

In addition to helping fans recreate the live experience, we hope tape trading will foster greater interaction within the fan community. Any method of trading that does not involve personal fan interaction defeats the spirit of this goal of the taping policy and is not authorized. If you see Marc’s music being used in what you feel may be an uncomfortable situation, we ask you to notify us by e-mail or fax. Please provide the date, time, station, program name and song used. We encourage you to email or fax us the name and locations of any retailers or distributors of bootleg CD's along with the titles and quantities in stock. With your help we can stop the proliferation of illegal recordings and preserve the privilege of Marc Broussard fans to record performances. If you have any questions, please contact us by e-mail.
