« on: March 09, 2005, 06:03:00 PM »
anyone out there using Peak 4.1? just got a kickdown of this program and it looks really cool, i read through the user guide, but there isnt much on tracking out a file, so i put in some markers, but cant split the markers into tracks and burn to cd, anyone know how to go about putting in track marks? any help would be greatly appreciated

control-m to place markers (or actions>New Marker)

then

Actions > Markers to Regions (regions are the portions of music between the markers)

then

File > Export Regions...

designate a location and peak will split the regions (tracks) for you

good luck

is Bias similar to Sound Forge, markers to regions is how you do it in SF.  interesting they use the same terminology.

fwiw i've only used PT and audacity on a MAC not too familiar w/ BP

If you have Jam (roxio), after all markers are reigons, you can save the file as a "JAM image".  It will be red book audio compliant too.
